This one day course is designed to offer participants a chance to focus their skills on the processing of honey. You will spend the day working on extraction and processing techniques, getting the opportunity to trial the use of different equipment under the supervision of Trill Farm's experienced apiarist, Julian Barnard.

If conditions are right you will view our observation hive and open up the brood box and see what is happening. (You will be able to use our protective equipment but do bring a bee suit if you have one and wear trousers!) You will also look at the products of beekeeping: honey, wax, pollen and propolis.  Each attendee will leave with a pot of honey and a head buzzing with ideas.

Everything will be provided on the day, but if you would like to bring your own beekeeping equipment to use or discuss please do.
