Family Camps

Family Camps at Trill Farm

Enjoy the good life - connect with nature, your family and the beautiful landscape of Trill Farm.

Hosted and facilitated by Chris Holland and the Trill Farm team, you will spend time with your kids, explore the farm, woods and nature. Create art, meet the wildlife, cook outdoors, make new friends and be merry.

The activities include foraging and fire-making, sneaking games and night walks, shelter-building, storytelling and music making around the fire. Other options might include whittling, making herbal products, clay painting or hapa zome. There's a bouldering wall, lake for wild swimming and stream to dam. All this and a celebratory 'merry moot' on the last night!

Chris Holland is a leading inspiration in the field of nature connection and creative outdoor learning for families. He has a BSc in Environmental Science, and has been involved in outdoor learning for 20 years. Chris has a natural talent for working with groups of people, telling stories, sharing bushcraft skills, foraging and creating environmental art.

He feels very proud because his first book, a playful hands on nature connection guidebook called I love my World, "is a must" according to children's laureate Michael Morpurgo. His latest project, The Natural Musicians is at the creative edge of nature interpretation and musical composition.

We are hoping to be able to run Family Camps at a new location in the future. We are busy making plans over the winter, but to find out more, please sign up to our mailing list here, or get in touch for more information.
