Spend a day or two half day sessions learning how to make cold process soap.

You will mix and make 3 different batches and take all your creations home. If you are lucky and interested you may get to learn a little French too!

The first batch recipe will be a ‘kitchen’ soap using ingredients you can usually find in your kitchen. For the 2 others, you’ll be given instruction in using more professional base recipes (including the use of hazardous chemicals) and have the opportunity to experiment with personalising the aroma and texture of your bars of soap with a range of essential oils and botanicals.

Please bring your own apron, a notepad and writing materials. Please make sure you wear long trouser, long-sleeved tops and closed toe shoes.


Course Leader: Alexandra Dudal

Alexandra is the resident soap maker at Trill Farm having moved from her native France after falling in love with Devon. She has recently been working on developing alternative soap bases for new recipes to replace palm oil at Trill Farm.


Option 1: Two half days on Wednesdays (27th March & 3rd April OR 2nd & 9th October). Course times: 9.30am - 12.30pm.
