Join us for a drinks reception and hands-on mead experience to learn all about turning the hard work of our noble honeybees into delicious mead or honey-wine.

During the evening we will taste different styles of mead, pair meads with a few nibbles, make mead cocktails and start off a little batch of mead for you to ferment at home.  

Please note that you must be aged 18 or over to join us for these evenings.


Course leader - Thomas O'Hagan

Thomas O'Hagan is a mead-maker, biologist and bee keeper who launched O’Hagan’s Meadery in 2017, winning three stars in the Great Taste Awards and and sliver in the IWSC. He moved his meadery to Trill Farm in early 2019.
