Speaker: Sarah Churchill and friends

Talk Title: Extinction Rebellion - Bringing about Change

An evening to discover the success behind the new and dynamic movement that is sweeping across the world. Trill Farm has invited Sarah Churchill to give an introductory talk about the Extinction Rebellion (XR) and the climate emergency. Together with fellow Bridport XR activists, Sara Hudston (Dark Mountain), Anna Rose-Prynn (Dark Mountain), Rose Allwork (Storyteller and Labour Councillor, Bridport North), and Horatio Morpurgo (writer and conservationist) they will discuss the methods and strategies of XR and the extraordinary success behind their actions.

Where do we go from here? Can Citizens Assembly be a way to steer government policy to address the emergency? What does regenerative culture look like locally, how we can work with our communities? How do we communicate with business?

About the speaker

Sarah has been involved with XR since September 2018 and is a veteran of the London Actions as well as one of the coordinators of Bridport XR.

She is a Forest School Teacher/Nature Connector/Mentor, Grower and keen kickboxer!

About Supper & Conversation at Trill

Supper & Conversation provides an opportunity to enjoy an inspiring talk followed by a convivial supper, sharing ideas and evolving positive ways forward. Speakers include writers, innovators, critics, political agitators and environmentalists, and aim to be informative, to stimulate thinking, to make us laugh and to amaze us.

The suppers are inspired by the content of the talk and from the seasonal abundance of the farm.

This time, chef and nutritionist Daphne Lambert will be creating a midsummer celebration from the abundant summer produce from the farm, to be shared outside (weather permitting!)

Event times: 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
£5 ticket is for the talk only
Carry on the conversation afterwards over a delicious meal prepared by Daphne Lambert by purchasing a Talk & Supper ticket for £15
